Abstract

One-step fabrication of asymmetric poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PAA-g-PVDF) membranes is reported by using the superspreading liquid layers on immersed hydrogel surfaces and confined phase inversion process that occurs at the oil/hydrogel interface. Such PAA-g-PVDF membranes possess asymmetric micro/nanopores and wettability, endowing these membranes efficient water flow gating and excellent recycling property for long-term practical applications.
