Deep space multihop networks suffer many challenges such as long propagation delay, high error rate and frequent disturption. Channels above these networks are supposed as multihop erasure channels, on which BATS codes work well. BATS codes is a coding scheme that consists of an outer code and an inner code. The outer code is a matrix generation of a fountain code. It works with the inner code that comprises random linear network coding at the intermediate network nodes. BATS codes are suitable for deep space multihop networks, but have complicated coding rule. This paper proposes a simplified BATS codes. Simulations and analyses are made to evaluate the performance of the simplified BATS codes.
