Porous tubular membrane supports made by centrifugal deposition of α-Al 2 O 3 particles dispersed in water with an electrosteric dispersant have an inside wall roughness of ∼ 0.25 μm and an average unroundness of ∼0.025 mm, making them suitable as supports for mesoporous and microporous membranes.
