Lymphatic dilation and proliferation of collagenous fiber in the dermis were seen in cases of acquired lymphangiectasia (lymphangioma circumscriptum). Constant infiltration of lymphocytes in the dermis and the epidermis may have a relation to frequent cellulitis, which is often seen in lymphedema patients.
