Abstract

This paper deals with Hybrid Steel/Polypropylene Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (HyFRC). It focuses on five HyFRC mixtures made with an invariant volume fraction of fibers. Experimental results from tests under both compression and bending are reported. Steel fibers mainly contribute to strain re-hardening force-crack response. Specimens with more polypropylene fibers exhibited a less variable response.
