A carbon scaffold was used to constrain the movement of Na<sub>3</sub>V<sub>2</sub>(PO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>3</sub> during charge and discharge reactions. The durability of Na<sub>3</sub>V<sub>2</sub>(PO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>3</sub> in extended use was improved as a result, making it more economically viable for the large-scale storage of electrical energy.
