Abstract

This paper introduces mechanical models for coated fabrics which can be used for simulation. Both the yarn-parallel and the shear behaviour are described mechanically and compared with test results. It will be shown that with enough accuracy for the practical use the inner energy potential density of normal and shear deformations can be composed additively.
