It is demonstrated how various prog- nostic measures can be calculated based on the proportional hazards model for survival data. In particular, estimates for the t-year survival probabil- ity and the median survival time are presented together with estimated standard errors. The methods are used in a randomized study of the survival with liver cirrhosis.
