A two-element dosemeter for environmental monitoring has been designed after experimental investigations. It consists of two sets of TLD of CaSO 4 :Dy, one of which is placed in a spherical tin filter, 2 mm thick. The lowest detectable dose is in the order of 2 μSv. Above 26 keV, the photon response is independent of energy within ± 25%
