Studies on zooplankton biomass and secondary and tertiary production of the EEZ of India

Abstract

The zooplankton collected from 1,113 stations occupied in the EEZ of India and contiguous seas during the cruises 1-44 of
\nFOKV Sagar Sampada during 1985-'88 has been analyscd for spatial distribution, monthly and seasonal abundance and
\ndiurnal variations. The data obtained have been used for estimating the biomass and secondary production on a half degree
\nsquare basis and fish production for every one degree square in the EEZ.
