Increasing social support for women with postpartum depression: An application of attribution theory.

Abstract

Three studies assessed a potential means of reducing blame and increasing social support for women with postpartum depression (PPD). Guided by Weiner’s attribution theory on motivation and affect, Study 1 (N = 117) cross-sectionally assessed whether perceptions of controllability for PPD were associ
