Peripherin immunoreactive structures in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Abstract

The accumulation of peripherin and NF in spheroids is likely related to the reduced anterograde transport. Alternatively, the spheroids showing a higher degree of peripherin immunoreactivity might represent regenerating axonal terminals.
