Release of the flexor-pronator origin for flexion deformities of the hand and wrist in spastic paralysis. A study of eighteen cases.

Eighteen patients with marked flexion deformities of the wrist and fingers and accompanying pronation contractures of the forearm have been treated by release of the flexor-pronator origin with improvement in control and function of the hands. The procedure has also improved the general posture of the entire upper extremity.
