Abstract

Gerontechnology is concerned with research, development and implementation of specific\ntechnologies for the purposes of the whole or sections of the elderly population. It has to do\nwith controlled technology, the control coming from the fields of application, in this case\nfrom the domains in which older citizens can be served. The inherent restriction is directly\nconcerned with useful and pleasant applications for elderly and only indirectly with specific\nengineering disciplines. The technological environment that we create should be adaptive to\nthe changing requirements of aging processes.
