Evaluation revealed congenital absence of the inferior vena cava associated with an atrophic right kidney. A possible embryologic mechanism is proposed in an effort to relate the renal findings and vascular anomaly. In addition, any possible relationships among the urinary tract infection, the hypertension and the renal abnormality are discussed. © 1981 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails Volume 126Issue 4October 1981Page: 539-541 Advertisement Copyright & Permissions© 1981 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.Metrics Author Information Andrew S.
