AbstractThe present study evaluates the haematological and cytogenetic risks in subjects occupationally exposed to cement dust. While cement dust caused indirect haematological damage resulting in abnormal blood cell counts, it also caused genetic damage comprising of minor chromosomal aberrations, decrease in mitotic index and increased frequency of sister chromatid exchanges.Key Words: Cement dustoccupational exposurehaematological hazardcytogenetic damage.
