Perovskite has been synthesized and its structure, electronic and magnetic properties have been investigated. Results indicate that: (1) a metal-insulator transition is observed due to the substitution of Cu by Mn, (2) the temperature dependence of resistivity can be described by a three-dimensional variable-range-hopping conduction due to the hopping between localized states near the Fermi energy level in an inhomogeneous medium and (iii) their magnetic susceptibility obeys well the Curie-Weiss Law.
