Expression of MMP-2, -9 and -13 in cell lines and fresh biopsies of squamous cell carcinomas of the upper aerodigestive tract.

Abstract

The MMP-2, MMP-9 and MMP-13 expressions correlate strongly with pathological parameters. The determination of these tumor-biological parameters could help to identify high risk patients with increased frequency of metastatic spread.
