Comparison of self-rated and clinician-rated measures of depression in adolescents

To determine whether patients' self-ratings of depression are comparable to clinicians' ratings, 45 depressed adolescents were administered two self-rated scales and two clinician-rated scales. Correlations of scores tended to be high, with higher correlations for girls than for boys.
