Abstract

This work, second part of a study on the beginning of the Late Bronze Age in the Gorges of the Cèze, is devoted in the first place to the investigations carried out in the cave of the Prével Supérieur, which was occupied during Late Bronze II, in 1963 and 1964 : site, habitat, structures, movable objects, but also human bone remains testifying to a funerary function at a slightly earlier date. The paper also contains an extensive synthesis situating the two sites of Hasard (cf. volume 16) and of Prével Supérieur in the regional contexte : fades of movable objects (in connection with which a typological classification of Late Bronze II pottery for the whole eastern Languedoc is established), habitat, funerary function, storage of cult objects.
