Abstract

In recent years, since the Information Technology (IT) and IC manufacturing process rapid progress, the cost of circuit designs can be reduced and achieve better work performance. The development of wireless sensor network (WSN) was mainly by University of California Berkeley as a research project. The researchers developed a very small sensor like aspirin called smart dust. Since the industrial revolution, human uses a lot of fossil fuels which produces large of gases such as carbon dioxide and methane. They increase the greenhouse gas in atmosphere and also cause global warming, sea level rise and increase the global climate. The designed system is based on the research of home digitization for human beings. We combine several self-developed ZigBee module called ZBee with a smart phone to achieve the applications for a variety of scenarios and perform specific functions which results in a more comfortable and convenient environment. A smart phone with Android 2.2 and wireless sensor network technology were applied to achieve an intelligent home energy conservation system based on a self-designed ZigBee module. The complete design has been installed in our laboratory. The main purpose is to achieve the home life safety and convenience to prevent extra power waste.
