Abstract

A description of the isolation of alkaloids from various parts of the plant Gloriosa superba L. of Indian and African origin has been given. The various quantitative representation of these biologically active substances in material collected at different periods and in various localities is discussed. The results obtained are summarized in Tables I and II.
