SUMMARY Low- and high-passaged cell culture strains of transmissible gastroenteritis virus were examined for stability toward digestive enzymes and at low pH. Correlation could not be made between the level of resistance and the cell passage status of the strains. Results of experiments on thermosensitivity of replication and thermolability did not permit separating the strains into 2 groups.
