HUGH FUDENBERG T HE ASSOCIATION OF HIGH CONCENTRATIONS of certain paraproteins and abnormal bleeding is well recognized, but the mechanism of defective hemostasis is uncertain. Numerous publications, generally restricted to single case reports or to small series of patients, describe a bewildering inconsistency of abnormal findings, some of which appear to correlate with bleeding while others do not.
