SUMMARY Bacteriologic isolation attempts on 8 febrile and icteric domesticated cats in the Philippines yielded one leptospiral isolate, L. grippotyphosa , from a urine sample. Results of microscopic agglutination tests of serum samples from the cats were test negative except for the sample from the cat from which the veterinary isolate was obtained; the latter gave a monospecific reaction against grippotyphosa .
