Antifungal activity of seventy-one compounds having five-membered lactone were tested. Among them six (No. 10, 17, 32, 44, 65, and 67) showed a minimum growth inhibitory activities in 0.125-0.5 mg/ml against fungi. The relationships between structure and antifungal activity were also discussed.
