Pharmacology for nursing practice

Abstract

Nurses must have sufficient understanding of pharmacology to ensure that they are able to comply with the UKCC's standards for the administration of medicines. The depth of understanding required for these purposes needs to be established. More emphasis needs to be given to the biological sciences when planning nursing curricula.
