Influence of flavonoids on combined experimental infections with EMC virus and Staphylococcus aureus in mice.

Abstract

Activity of elected flavonoids in EMC virus and Staphylococcus aureus infected mice were investigated, to determine the influence on mortality rate. Some of the flavonoids: quercetin, hypoletin, hesperidin, rutin and quercitrin showed significant protective effect given before single as well as combined viral-bacterial infections.
