SUMMARY Two endoparasite-transmitted rickettsiae, Rickettsia sennetsu and Neorickettsia helminthoeca , and the Elokomin fluke fever ( eff ) agent were distinguished by direct fluorescent antibody technique. Common major antigens were not detected among these agents. The direct fluorescent antibody technique could be applied as a differential diagnostic method for the agents of the salmon poisoning disease ( spd ) complex.
