Cerebral infarction in patients with AIDS.

Abstract

The frequency of infarction was 18%, higher than previously reported. The pathogenesis of infarction was multifactorial. Underlying infectious causes were identified in 39% of patients. Two patients had an idiopathic vasculitis.
