Endoscopic management of acquired cholesteatoma: our experience.

Abstract

The endoscope allowed a better understanding of cholesteatoma and improved eradication of residual disease from hidden areas such as the anterior epitympanic recess, retrotympanum, and hypotympanum not yet controllable by the operating microscope.
