EuroInterv.2007;3:149-153 Description Kaneka’s coronary stent, MAHOROBATM, is a new drug eluting stent (DES), which combines a thin, flexible cobalt-chromium (CoCr) metal stent platform coated with a biodegradable polymer including the pharmaceutical agent tacrolimus. The device has been designed and developed to inhibit the growth of neointimal hyperplasia and avoid interference with the vascular healing response.
