Myopia Development in Experimental Animals—A Literature Review

Abstract

This paper is a review of the available literature dealing with myopia production in animals by a wide variety of experimental manipulations of their visual, physical, and/or bodily environment. Commentary is presented on the results of experiments using chickens, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, and cats.
