Abstract

Abstract A quantitative study of the hemodynamic effects of atrial systole was carried out on eight subjects with functioning atrioventricular conduction and on five patients with complete A-V block. Cardiac function was altered by right ventricular, right atrial, and synchronous pacemaking.
