Obstruction occurred in 6 per cent of patients with end-to-side versus 0 per cent of those with Politano-Leadbetter reconstructions (p less than 0.05). Complications of leakage, infection and graft loss were comparable in the 2 groups. © 1982 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByBenoit G, Blanchet P, Alexandre L and Charpentier B (2018) Insertion of a Double Pigtail Ureteral Stent for the Prevention of Urological Complications in Renal Transplantation: A Prospective Randomized StudyJournal of Urology, VOL. 156, NO. 3, (881-884), Online publication date: 1-Sep-1996.Nicol D, P’ng K, Hardie D, Wall D and Hardie I (2018) Routine use of Indwelling Ureteral Stents in Renal TransplantationJournal of Urology, VOL. 150, NO. 5 Part 1, (1375-1379), Online publication date: 1-Nov-1993.Thrasher J, Temple D and Spees E (2018) Extra Vesical versus Leadbetter-Politano Ureteroneocystostomy: A Comparison of Urological Complications in 320 Renal TransplantsJournal of Urology, VOL. 144, NO. 5, (1105-1109), Online publication date: 1-Nov-1990.Reinberg Y, Bumgardner G and Aliabadi H (2018) Urological Aspects of Renal TransplantationJournal of Urology, VOL. 143, NO. 6, (1087-1092), Online publication date: 1-Jun-1990.Ohl D, Konnak J, Campbell D, Dafoe D, Merion R and Turcotte J (2018) Extra Vesical Ureteroneocystostomy in Renal TransplantationJournal of Urology, VOL. 139, NO. 3, (499-502), Online publication date: 1-Mar-1988.
