Abstract

Despite early recognition and operation, primary aorto-enteric communication remains a severe life threatening disease, bringing high mortality rates. These are clearly affected by shock condition, but a correct surgical technique and prolonged postoperative antibiotic medication to avoid graft infection are mandatory to minimize mortality.
