The paper deals with the modelling and simulation of fast start-up transients of a combined-cycle power plant. The study is aimed at reducing the start-up time while keeping the life-time consumption of the more critically stressed components under control. The structure of the model, based on the ThermoPower library, and the main modelling assumptions are illustrated. Selected simulation results are included and discussed. 1
