Laparoscopic management of acute torsion of the omentum in adults.

Abstract

Acute torsion of the greater omentum is an uncommon cause of acute abdomen in adults, and preoperative diagnosis is usually difficult. Laparoscopy seems a safe and minimally invasive technique for both diagnosis and treatment of this rare disease entity.
