Comparison of Blind and Sighted Subjects in the Discrimination of Texture

Abstract

The ability of 50 blind and 50 sighted Ss to discriminate all combinations of pairs of 10 embossed textural patterns was compared. No group differences were found, and rank order of pattern discriminability showed high agreement.
