SUMMARY Semen was collected daily for 10 weeks from 2 groups of stallions. The maximum number of spermatozoa collected daily was during the 1st week of June for both groups. Approximately 1 week of daily seminal collections was required to stabilize the extragonadal reserves of sperm. In vivo testicular measurements accounted for only 32% of the variation in daily sperm output (DSO).
