Soil corrosion performence of several grounding net materials such as copper,Q235 steel, and Q235 steel with copper-plating,galvanized coating and dacromet coating in soil at Weinan county were studied by weight-loss method, electrolytic corrosion and polarization curve method. The result revealed that regarding to corrosion resistance, the copper was the best with corrosion rate below 0.04 g/(m2·h),Q235 the worst with corrosion rate was below 0.28 g/(m2·h),the copper-plated and dacromet coated Q235 were similar to copper with corrosion rate about 0.04 g/(m2·h),the galvanized coating could prevent Q235 from corrosion with corrosion rate below about 2/3 of the bare steel. The corrosion process of materials was electrochemical control.
