Based on the statistical data of national and provincial rice variety regional trials,registration and application in China from 1994 to 2007,the varietal registration,breeding of photo-thermo-sensitive genic male sterile (PTGMS) lines,performance of main traits and extension of two-line hybrid rice in China were analyzed. It was found that conspicuous progresses had been achieved in two-line hybrid rice breeding and application in China.
