The indexes weight is decided by the variation coefficient of the value of evaluated indexes of water quality standard, the new attribute recognition model is proposed and applied to evaluate water quality. The used process and the reliability of the new method are explained by real survey water quality data of Harbin section of Songhua River. The result is that the water quality of Harbin section of Songhua River reaches III grade, and this result agrees with that of the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method. It validates that the new model is feasible in synthesis evaluating water quality.
