Stable Isotopic Characteristics of Atmospheric Precipitation from Yichang,Hubei

Based on the stable isotope analysis of precipitation and the meteorological records in 2007(fiom May to November) of Yichang,the stable isotope characteristics of changing atmospheric precipitation are analyzed. The results show that:deuterium is surplus in precipitation and variable between months.There is a positive correlation between the stable isotope values and the mean temperature during precipitation,with differences in phase.Theδ~(18)O fractionation shows an inverse pattern in time withδD,but relative to the amount of precipitation,is not obviously except in June and July.This study shows that the meteoric water line equation of Yichang is different from the global and regional pattern.It's mainly owing to the geographical environment,the geomorphological background as well as the atmospheric circulation patterns in Yichang.
