Two mucin-type glycopeptides that suppressed the production of pisatin, a phytoalexin of pea, were purified from a pea pathogen, Mycosphaerella pinodes. The structures of Supprescin A (Mr, 452) and Supprescin B (Mr, 959) were determined by an analysis of amino acid sequences and 13C- and 1H-NMR.
