The urban heat island effect(UHIE) on soil engineering properties and the related disaster effect were usually ignored in the past.Based on the characteristics of UHIE and the environmental conditions of urban soil,the UHIE on soil engineering properties and the related disaster effect are preliminarily analyzed.The research results have great significance for further analysis on soil engineering properties in UHIE environment and their disaster effect.
