With respect to multiple attribute decision making problem with trapezoid fuzzy linguistic information,in which the attribute weights are unknown, and the attribute values take the form of trapezoid fuzzy linguistic variables,an extend VIKOR method is proposed. To begin with, the concept and the operational rules of the trapezoid fuzzy linguistic variables are introduced, and the distance between two trapezoid fuzzy linguistic variables is proposed and proved. Then, the attribute weights are calculated by the idea of maximum deviation,an extend VIKOR method is proposed to solve multiple attribute decision making problem with trapezoid fuzzy linguistic information, and decision making steps are illustrated. Finally,an illustrative example is given to verify effectiveness of the developed method.
