According to measured results of loads in power grids, the distribution and composition of technical line losses of power grids are analyzed by theoretical calculation of line losses. Based on the theoretical calculation results of line losses by State Grid Corporation of China in the year of 2005, the main problems of technical line losses of power grids in China are analyzed and corresponding countermeasures to reduce technical line losses are proposed.
