Through an intensive study of wind-turbine generator-shaft system, the paper deduces a dual-mass dynamic model in per-unit with angle and angular speed of the rotating components as its state variables from system equation in nominal unit, in which the influence of gear case ratio and generator pole pair number is considered, and meanwhile clarifies definitions, units and calculation methods of the model parameters. Next, the existing problems of conventional model for wind turbine generator are discussed by comparison. Thereafter, making use of the new acquired model and taking voltage and frequency property of wind turbine power generator into account, the paper gives an overall analysis on the static and dynamic security characteristics of 2009 Inner Mongolia Grid integrating large-scale wind farms. Moreover, the paper specifies the influence on the grid structure, system voltage, reactive compensation, dynamic stability and transient stability of Inner Mongolia Grid arisen by the access and operation of large-scale wind farm as well as the control requirements to system operating so as to guide the operation controlling and planning of wind farm in Inner Mongolia Grid.
