Comparison of several methods of environment quality evaluation using complex indices

Abstract

The applications of different methods of environmental quality evaluation using complex indices in compiling the Report of Environmental Quality of China are discussed in this article After comparing the results of those methods under miscellaneous situations, it is concluded that to use both of the method of maximum and the method of arithmetical average and take advantage of the two methods is the optimum choice for the Report of Environmental Quality of China The suggestion about the future evaluation model in the Report of Environmental Quality of China regarding the recent development of foreign environmental evaluation methods also is put forward in this article
